It
all began with a wall full of porcelaine hearts in the "Oval
Office" of tripleQ
NewMedia.
The gift from Porcelain Artist Margit Denz for the office-opening
1998 was the birth of a unique charity idea:
During
the next months 1,000 celebrities around the world will receive
porcelain hearts with the request to sign the hearts personally.
The returned "autographed" hearts will be put on online-auction.
The TOTAL REVENUES of the auctions will be donated to childrens
organisations.
The project costs will be raised by sponsorship & adsales
at the websites www.hearts4kids.org and www.herzfuerkinder.org
Every
so adressed celebrity gets a "starpage"
on the site. There is a schedule of sent hearts, an arrival list
of returned hearts, wishlists and votinglists and many features
more...
The
first auctions are expected to start mid 2001, subscription
to the hearts4kids Newsletter informs about the arrival of hearts
for auction.
Managing
& Creative Director Elisabeth Wetsch: "We wanted to create
a charity idea designed specially for the web - and to prove that
charity may be entertaining."
